Nerdio, a leading Microsoft cloud management provider, faced a critical challenge as AI Overviews and LLMs began displacing traditional organic search results. To secure visibility where buying journeys now begin, Active Ingredients launched a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)  initiative. Building on our refined process to create strategic Information Gain, we substantially increased Nerdio’s presence on core topics  across ChatGPT, Claude, Google, and beyond.

We created more than 50 semantically rich topical pages engineered to match AI-preferred patterns. This dramatically increased Nerdio’s presence inside AI-generated results, driving a 1,394% surge in brand mentions across the top LLMs and a 1,266% growth in Google AI Overview mentions.

Total mention rate on AI platforms reached 89%, with priority topics maintaining near 100% visibility. We also achieved a 25% Share of Voice in GEO results, outperforming competitors by more than 200%.

Digital PR and partnerships amplify off-site authority

We activated Nerdio’s partner ecosystem to publish deep technical articles. These posts serve as third-party validation across high-trust domains, building the cross-platform consensus’ LLMs seek, while also delivering thousands of citations on Google AIO and LLM chats via Partners’ posts on LinkedIn drove deeper distribution to audiences as large as 460k followers, creating authoritative co-citation” signals that fed directly into model training and validation.
